WineSpectator.com Launches New Cellar Management Tool for Members
Improved Personal Wine List enables subscribers to manage their wine collections online and determine the value of their cellars
Posted: Tuesday, February 05, 2008
Track the value of your cellar. Make a shopping list of highly rated wines. Organize the bottles in your collection in a personal database. Now you can do all these tasks online in one convenient location. WineSpectator.com has launched its improved Personal Wine List and new My Cellar companion tool to help members manage their wines, whether they have an extensive collection or just buy a few bottles every month.
The new version of the online Personal Wine List allows you to create as many separate, customized lists as you like, such as wines you want to buy, wines to drink soon and wines in storage. Save any wine ever reviewed by Wine Spectator to your lists, then add your own personal tasting note and view other readers' shared tasting notes. You can also use the lists to print sets of shelf tags containing the Wine Spectator score and tasting note for each wine.
Bought wines we haven't rated? Now you can enter that information yourself, and if they are rated later on, you can quickly update your listing with our editors' scores and tasting notes.
Enter your collectible wines into My Cellar, a companion tool that keeps you up-to-date on the value of individual wines in your cellar and on your cellar's total worth, and calculates your gain or loss. The tool automatically provides the latest average auction price for the more than 15,600 collectibles that are tracked in our Auction Price database.
All these tools are part of your WineSpectator.com membership. If you already use the Personal Wine List, your list will automatically be transferred to the new version, which you can then customize. You can access your Personal Wine List and My Cellar from anywhere with an Internet connection—just by logging into your WineSpectator.com account.
If you're not a WineSpectator.com member, subscribe now to get access to these new tools and more.
